The city and monuments of Luxembourg

      The Institut français du Luxembourg is inviting your children to take part in an extraordinary adventure this August, with teacher and storyteller Laetitia Collin.
         —     Objectives

 

 

* Discover the history of Luxembourg’s monuments;

* Discover legendary historical stories: structure, motifs, etc;

* Stimulate the imagination and creativity in relation to history;

* Improve oral and written comprehension: listen to others (quality of listening), do historical research, read texts;

* Developing oral and written expression: learning to tell stories (public speaking), writing stories.

         —     Sessions

 

 

* Episodes from the history of a Luxembourg monument, a legendary historical tale told by the storyteller;

* Research into the monuments of Luxembourg, selection;

* Discussion of the story: opinions and impressions of the listeners, elements of the structure of the story, the characters, the motifs encountered, distinguishing between history and legend;

* Based on the discussions, tell or create a historical/legendary story about a Luxembourg monument.
