Kids' workshop
Our children’s workshops (for ages 6 to 12) are designed for young learners who wish to discover or develop their French through fun, creative and engaging activities. An ideal way to spark their curiosity and foster a love of learning in a supportive environment.
Description
Throughout the school year, the Institut français du Luxembourg runs weekly workshops designed to combine play, learning and creativity. Each workshop runs for one hour per week for three months.
A wide variety of fun activities and games are organised to stimulate imagination and encourage spoken expression.
Designed by qualified teachers, the activities are fully tailored to the children’s age, linguistic ability and cognitive needs.
The workshops encourage children to identify and organise logical sequences whilst developing their oral and written skills.
Activities include songs, crafts, storytelling, board games and many other exploratory activities.
Opportunities
The children’s workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn French while having fun. Thanks to an immersive and varied approach, children gain confidence, develop their creativity, and expand their vocabulary.
The workshops provide an excellent complement to school education whilst allowing children to flourish in a warm and stimulating environment.
Registration
Registration for the children’s workshops is done online via the Institut français du Luxembourg’s official website.
Depending on the child’s age and level, an assessment may be offered to ensure they join the most suitable group.
As group sizes are limited, places are restricted. It is therefore recommended to register in advance.
Learning experience
The workshops are open to all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Each session combines activities designed to stimulate oral expression, develop logical thinking, enhance comprehension, and consolidate language proficiency.
Through an active, play-based teaching approach, children learn without pressure while receiving personalised support from specialist teachers.
Teens' workshop
Our teen workshops (for ages 13 to 17) are designed for young people who want to learn or improve their French in a dynamic, motivating and age-appropriate environment. An ideal way to develop their language skills while encouraging curiosity and independence.
Description
At the Institut français du Luxembourg, teenagers learn French in a fun yet structured way. Whether they are beginners or advanced learners, they study for 90 minutes a week over a period of three months.
The workshops focus on four key skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through structured progression and a variety of activities.
Classes are led by specialist teachers using an active, engaging method tailored to the interests of teenagers.
Sessions take place in small groups in a supportive environment that encourages interaction, engagement, and self-confidence.
Opportunities
The teenage workshops provide an ideal setting for developing language skills in an environment that caters to the needs and energy levels of young people.
They help to improve French language proficiency, reinforce academic knowledge and broaden general knowledge, as well as building confidence in speaking.
Thanks to a dynamic and interactive approach, teenagers enjoy learning while laying the groundwork for their future studies.
