DELF / DALF /TCF Certifications
You can take several French language certifications in Luxembourg to prove your level, boost your employability and help you integrate into the Francophone world.
Which certification is best for you?
DELF
The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) is the only official French-language diploma that assesses your skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing through tests. It assesses levels from A1 to B2.
The diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education, is valid for life, and is recognised worldwide.
DALF
The DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) is the official reference diploma for advanced levels. It assesses French skills through tests of oral comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing. It allows you to assess levels from C1 to C2.
The diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education. It is valid for life and recognised internationally.
DELF Junior
The DELF Junior is intended for teenagers and certifies their French language skills by assessing their ability to listen, read, speak and write. It evaluates levels from A1 to B2 for young people aged 11 to 18.
The diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education. The DELF Junior is an official gateway to higher education at French universities.
TCF
The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a French language proficiency test that allows you to assess and validate your French skills in a reliable and recognised way using simple and quick methods.
The TCF is required for the following:
– Enrolment in French universities
– Immigration procedures with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Quebec Immigration Office
– Application for French nationality
